The Power of Job Coaches

For the past couple years, I wanted to get a mentor or a job coach. I have heard really great things about job coaches from friends who have them and I thought it would help progress me personally and in business. I kept my eyes open but did not search diligently for one. Then Ryan and I joined our local REIA (Real Estate Investment Association) and met a lot of great people. Among some of the great people we met, we met our current job coaches.

Our coaches are Josh and Audrey with CashFlow Coaches. They have been one of the most impactful influences of my personal and professional life. They are very big on life visions, which Sam and I are huge proponents of. They had us write out our own life visions before we could do anything else. This was an in depth process that took many hours of meaningful thought, reflection, and work. However, I believe it is one of the most important things I could have done. Once we had our individual visions, then they dug into our businesses and what tasks we should be tackling to make our companies better.

This was super helpful to have an outside perspective, look into our business, and help us pinpoint bottlenecks. Once we had the bottlenecks, we came up with options to help resolve the issues, then it was on us to implement them and report back in a month with how things went. This leads into the accountability piece of having job coaches. I understand you are supposed to be able to hold yourself accountable and for most things, I do. However, on pain points or topics you do not necessarily want to do, to have someone checking in to see how those things are going, is very helpful to stay on track.

Lastly, you make great relationships. I truly enjoy our job coaches and I love working with them. They are great role models to look up to and strive towards. I enjoy chatting and spending time with them at our local REIA meetings. I am beyond grateful we chose them to be our job coaches and I look forward to my continued work with them.

So, the 4 main things I have received thus far from my job coaches and why I feel they have made an incredible impact on me are.

  1. Instructing me on how to create a life vision
  2. Reviewing our pain points in business and helping us come up with solutions for them
  3. Accountability
  4. Friendship

If you have been keeping up with our blogs, you know my partner Ryan and I have separated some of our business ventures together. I will be making further posts on how well our coaches have been helping us navigate those changes and how they have already helped me immensely in getting my new business progressing.
