Challenges For Habits

looked many ways to keep myself motivated. One of the main ideas behind accomplishing your goals, is that you can’t only rely on motivation. So, what can we rely on? Discipline. Which is great, but we have to have that want for discipline to achieve it. I wanted to be disciplined, but it just seemed that I could never keep up with it. Well, recently I completed 75Hard and now I know what helps me get that discipline. Streaks! I love seeing the number go up as I count how many days I have accomplished something in a row.

Now that 75Hard is over, I definitely have more mental clarity than I had before but I know that I need some assistance still. I was able to gain so much discipline over the time, but there are still some things that I will need to create a personal challenge for myself. Next week, I will start a 30 day challenge of posting on Instagram, then at the end of it I won’t want to break my 30 day streak. It is just the smallest way to keep that little fire of motivation inside of me that can keep me accountable.

Streaks are a good way to make sure that you keep up with your habits every single day. Hopefully, at some point your streak is so high that you won’t even have to think about it anymore. My mind is always all over the place, so being able to look at my habit chart and checking it off once I completed it helps keep it out of my mind. We all have unnecessary thoughts and things floating around in our mind, so it is good to get as many things out as we can.

I plan on printing off a 30 day chart and I’ll cross it off as soon as I have finished for the day. If you do it this way, make sure you chart is in an obvious location that you look at daily. You don’t want to have it in a drawer that you never open and find it two months later with none of it filled out. PUT IT SOMEWHERE THAT IS OBVIOUS! I can not stress that enough.

If you are the type of person that needs to be apart of a group to keep you accountable, then there are groups and challenges out there for everything. Look up some keys words on facebook, and you will probably find something that you can join. If you aren’t a fan of that, then ask someone close to you that will call you out on your shit and ask them if they can check in with you.

Another challenge that you should be doing, is your 5 priorities. Everyday, you should write down 5 things that can move you forward in life. If you complete those 5 things, then you win the day. Andy Frisella talks about this on his podcast and it is apart of Phase 3 in the Live Hard program. These 5 priorities, can be little or big, but you need to make sure that these are things that you can get done in one day. I also recommend that you don’t make them reliant on someone else. This causes you to get upset if they don’t complete their portion and therefore making you lose the day. Somedays, mine are cleaning my kitchen, meal prep, workout, blog and post on IG. These aren’t hard things for me to do, but I know if I complete all of these then I am moving forward in life. I am taking care of my house, my life and my business all in one day. Try it out, and see how much more you can complete and start winning the mother fucking day!

I hope you are able to take some of these things and apply them to your life. Obviously, not everyone is going to be the same as me, which is why I try different things out all the time. I am still working on what works with my mind, so you should be trying these out to see what works for you. Keep pushing yourself and try to be a better version of yourself.
