I first heard this concept on Brad Lees, Dropping Bombs podcast. Once I heard it, my reticular activating system activated and I started hearing these things more and more often. Here are the 3 most important things in life.
The most important thing in life is health. If we are in poor health, we will do anything to be healthy again. We will pay any amount of money, we will go to the doctor or multiple doctors, we will get other medical professionals opinions, we will research our symptoms/disease to see what we can do to better help ourselves. We will do all of this because without health, our life is over. If we no longer are living or incapable of living because of a health condition, nothing else matters.
Second is relationships, once our health is covered, we search for relationships. We are social beings, even if you are an introvert, you still need a couple key people to count on. It does not have to be much, but a couple people in your life is crucial. For most people though, having good quality relationships with friends and family is a staple in their lives. Work and hobbies are where most people have relationships. These relationships can help you enjoy your hobbies more, can help progress you in your career, can teach you what to do, and what not to do. Relationships are key in your overall happiness.
Lastly, money, is the third most important thing in life. Money is the only way to survive. Without money, you cannot have good health and you will most likely not have the best relationships. Having a lot of money is not crucial but having money and making money is crucial to survival. The more money you have, the more relationships you can make, these relationships can help you with better healthcare, better knowledge on how to be healthy, and can help eliminate the stress of not having money.
So, these are the 3 most important things in life, make sure to work on bettering yourself by focusing on building these 3 categories.
