If any of you follow us on a regular basis, you know that we did not post last week. We took a little bit of a break, to try and figure out what we want to do with the Tutors of Life enterprise. If you don’t know, we also have a podcast that we post every Monday. I have been trying to post them onto the webpage, but they don’t look the best and aren’t my favorite way of having them on here. I’m hoping that something will change and it can be easier and prettier to put on the page.
Anyways, I got to thinking of what my vision is for this website and podcast. I honestly have no real objective with it. All I have ever imagined was creating a company like Rooster Teeth or Buzzfeed. If you don’t know what they are, they are both bigger companies that make money by posting creative things. These things can be videos, blog/vlog posts, etc. I like the idea of people being able to express their creativities in a friendly and enjoyable workplace.
I don’t even know how big I want to make this, or how long we want to be making our own blogs and podcasts. At some point, we definitely need some type of editor for both items. We aren’t the greatest at doing it ourselves, and plus I don’t know how to make our podcasts have the greatest sound quality to them.
The one thing that I know Shaun and I would like to do with this, is being able to actual research things in life for you guys. We want to be able to try things for 3-9 months and be able to report back what we found were the key things to be able to do them. These things could be like mediation or surfing. Something that we can dedicate a chunk of time to and be able to teach you what we found out.
So long story short, I only know one of my goals is to at least help people out in the world. The hard thing, is that is not even a goal that is measurable so it isn’t one that I can track or follow. So the next few weeks we are going to be thinking about what we would like to do for Tutors of Life. I’ll be posting every week the steps that we are taking in order to establish our vision.
