We talk about having a positive mindset a lot on our podcast and blog. We feel it is one of the most important skills to utilize to have a happy and healthy life. When it comes to your personal thoughts, you can either make them productive or unproductive. Everyone reading this should be able to recall an instance in their life when they let their thoughts control them for either the better or the worse. I have been reading, watching, and listening to individuals talk about personal development and the power of your mind for years.
Recently, I have been reading “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. It is a phenomenal book with lots of great content. I do recommend to read it slow and 1 chapter at a time helps to fully digest the information in the book. One of my favorite things he said in the book had to do with Faith, Love, and Sex, and how they are the most powerful positive emotions. When you combine them together with thought, you get very powerful actions. So, when you are thinking of something and you connect Faith, Love, or Sex to the thing you are thinking, your subconscious will act on it, if you give it enough validity and power in your mind. So be very careful of what you are thinking about and what kind of emotion you are attaching to it because that can come out in your subconscious without you even realizing it.
If you have positive thoughts or you are training yourself to have positive thoughts, and you attach positive emotions to what you are thinking, it can bring you to new levels of happiness and success. If you really want to be somewhere in life, have some level of success, wealth, health, happiness, etc. think about those thoughts in a positive light and then attach positive emotions to them. The more you do this, the more repetitions you have thinking about where you want to be and what you want to achieve, the more likely you are going to achieve it. Your subconscious will act upon your thoughts and you will start achieving the things you dream of.
Everything you do in life has to start with you. You have to make the decision to accomplish something, you have to make the decision to be happy, you have to make the decision to better your life, if you are not willing to do it, you will not have these successes. It does not matter how many people help you, if you do not want it for yourself, you will eventually sabotage whatever you have, no matter how much support you have. Your successes can start today with a simple mind change. The best part is, you do not have to believe yourself at first, the more you think something, the more it will seem possible, and the closer you will get to that reality. The thoughts and the power it has over us is something I am very passionate about and I think is the key to long term success and happiness.
