Everyone has dreams, everyone has goals, however, not everyone has action. It does not matter how much you learn, it does not matter how much you prepare, if you do not take action, nothing will come of it. There are many books on self-prophesizing your thoughts into outcomes. This definitely does work, if you are constantly imagining a better life, it will come to you. However, it will only come to you if you take action on the things to get you there.
I would not be near where I am in life without taking immediate action on ideas I have had, or others have given me. Sometimes those actions do not pan out well for me. Other times, those actions serve me immensely and have way out weighed the actions which did not serve me. Sometimes in life you need to be spontaneous and act! Do not sit around and think of all the negative things which could come from it, just act and see how it plays out.
With that being said, I am a huge proponent of doing research and learning before doing something which could impact your life significantly. If you have a base understanding of something, you can act and learn as you go. What I mean is, do not start a business tomorrow in a field you have never been in, if you have no experience in business or the field you are choosing to pursue. Now if you are in a field and you have an understanding of what it will take to start a business, then go for it.
Also, do not listen to people who are not where you want to go. If you have searched out people who are on the path you want to be on. Listen to them and take action as they say. Do not listen to someone (even if they are friends or family) if they have not done the things you want in life. If you do, it will inhibit you from taking action.
Lastly, you will come upon roadblocks throughout your journey. Through your trials and tribulations, you will experience and learn a lot. When you reach these roadblocks, remember the things you learned, and choose a route to proceed. Do not spend too much time here, you need to be ever evolving, and continuously changing. If you do not, your indecision could be the death of your dreams.
Go out and take action!
