Life Can Be Short

Everything has been very strange since the pandemic has started. Many businesses have closed, countless loved ones have been lost, and we have been under a lockdown for over a year now. It has reminded me how quickly life can change, and that we can never predict what is going to happen.

Earlier this week, we had a huge scare with our dog, Mimi. I honestly wasn’t sure how much longer we were going to have with her. Thankfully, she is a strong girl and is back to normal, but this reminded me that I am not ready for her to go. I still have so many life experiences I want her to have. Also, it has made me change what I am doing this week. I have been coming home sooner, so I can spend more time with her. I have been making sure I cuddle her and pet her before a go to bed or leave the house. I have been trying to make sure that she knows I love her no matter what happens.

So, here is your reminder to show the ones you love some affection. You never know when someone you know could get hurt and not recover from it. So go show them your appreciation, tell them you love them, or that you are proud of them. Just make sure that the last words from your mouth aren’t anything negative when someone leaves your presence.

Here are 8 steps to fully embrace life

  • Embrace new opportunities
  • Be present
  • Play hard, work hard
  • Don’t take life too seriously
  • Live for you
  • Take care of yourself
  • Challenge negative self talk
  • Worry less

Shaun and I have expanded on most of these things above, but I will expand in future posts some of the topics that I haven’t gone into more. These are all good steps to take to living life to its fullest potential. We started this blog and our podcast to share our stories and spread our love for this world. We want to help someone out there believe in themselves and enjoy what life has to offer.

So, go and travel if you can! There are so many things to go see, and to go do. Don’t let yourself or someone else stand in your way to achieve it. Go spread your wings and share your positivity and love around the world to others.
